This work began nearly 2,000 years ago when the Holy Spirit inspired four different individuals to write about the life of Jesus Christ, addressing four different audiences for four different purposes. The four Gospels were placed side by side in the canon of Scripture called The New Testament. These four books make up approximately 46% of that portion of God’s Word.
